Tommy Hilfiger is the Official Clothing Supplier of the iShares Cup, and is renowned for his commitment to, and taking inspiration from, the sailing world. This includes the sponsorship of 2003 Around Alone winner Brad Van Liew in his Freedom America Open-50 racer, and of course the victorious Hilfiger Sailing crew, skippered by Double US Olympic Sailor Randy Smythe in the inaugural 2006 VX40 Volvo Ocean Race. Tommy Hilfiger launched its first ever Sailing Collection in Spring 2007 and continues to develop its unique fusion of fashion and functionality based on feedback from the Hilfiger Sailing crew.
Other existing or recent sport sponsorships include: the Ferrari Formula One team, US Ryder Cup golf star David Toms, the US Olympic Freestyle Ski team and providing the Formal Wardrobe for Arsenal FC for the 2005 FA Cup Final, and the global fashion sponsorship of Thierry Henry.
