iShares Cup Extreme 40 Sailing Series 2008

Planning for the iShares Cup 2008 is in gear with provisional dates set for the 2008 Extreme 40 Sailing Series. With the venues for the five-event series still to be confirmed, the calendar is starting to take shape.
The 2008 iShares Cup Extreme 40 Sailing Series will stop into the following countries:
- 30 May-1 June - Switzerland / Italy
- 13-15 June - France
- 2-4 August – United Kingdom
- 29-31 August - Germany
- 19-21 September - The Netherlands
In addition to the iShares Cup events, a number of the Extreme 40 campaigns have already noted their intention to participate in other one-off events such as the Abu Dhabi Yachting Grand Prix from 2-7 March, pre-event in the days before the stat of The Artemis Transat in Plymouth on 11 May and in the JPMorgan Asset Management Round the Island Race in Cowes on 28 June. Teams have also indicated in interest in racing during Skandia Cowes Week itself from 5-9 August and in the Centomiglia in Italy on 6 September.
To complete the calendar venues and dates are expected to be confirmed at the end of January along with the Notice of Race for the iShares Cup 2008.
