Basilica skippered by robert Greenhalgh win the second day of exhibition racing with two wins and a second place. Team Blue finish in second for the day which means the two teams are tied for first place overall.

Team Basilica and JPMorgan Asset Management helmed by Shirley Robertson are also taking up the exhibition racing challenge.

Cowes has not seen the last of the Extreme 40 fleet just yet! The iShares Cup racing event has finished but from Tuesday 7th, August through to Thursday, 9th August spectators will be able to get up close and personal with some of the 40-ft catamarans as they perform some exhibition racing off The Green in West Cowes between 5.30pm to 7.00pm. Rob Greenhalgh continues to dominate - not having it all his own way - but enough to retain the overall lead tonight. Darren Bundock, Olympic silver medallist, driving BT kept them in the game and they hold onto 2nd place overnight with Shirley Robertson putting her team on JPMorgan Asset Management onto the podium for today. Overnight leaders Basilica have finally repaired their broken rudder and will be one the start line this afternoon. Will their domination continue? Or will the other 7 teams be able to rattle their cage. Most importantly, the crews will be looking to limit any damage in the good sea breeze forecast for racing which will be off Lepe Beach on the mainland side today.

Day two of the iShares Cup and Skandia Cowes Week will see the Extreme 40s race on the Solent on a race course set just off the mainland shore between Calshot and Beaulieu just off Lepe Beach. With the Skandia Cowes Week regatta kicking off today and nearly 1000 boats entered in the week-long event, there is little space to race off the island so the Extreme 40s will move to open water further afield. Day two of the iShares Cup at Skandia Cowes Week looks to be another excellent day for racing. The wind is expected to be lighter but the temperature hotter so we're expecting a good 15-20 knot seabreeze, paired with a 4.2 metre spring tide which will create a challenge for the competing Extreme 40 teams.

After five races on day 1 of the iShares Cup at Skandia Cowes Week, Rob Greenhagh's crew of Basilica top the leaderboard on 44 points. Nick Moloney's team on BT are currently 2nd also on 44 points, with Basilica claiming top spot on tie break. US team Tommy Hilfiger were consistent on the water putting them 3rd in the standings ahead of Shirley Robertson's team on JPMorgan Asset Management who posted a 2nd place in the final race of the day. Basilica take another win, JPMorgan Asset Management in second and BT in third. Racing has now finished for the day and crews will head to shore for prizegiving.

With Basilica all but ink their score card with a first place Robertson has made her mark on second place continuing to push her boat that little bit harder for a few extra places. Holmatro remain tight on her tail trying to force their rivals to make a mistake.

Breeze has dropped off to a steady 10 knots and Basilica are around the mark first with JPMorgan Asset Management on the hunt just behind. Robertson needs to keep an eye over her shoulder as Holmatro are creeping up with pace.

The final race of the day has kicked off. The short one lap windward leeward course demands a good start from the teams with BT starting right on time admist calls for room. The team are then forced to put in a penalty turn dropping them to the back of the fleet.

Another top finish for Team Basilica with BT and JPMorgan Asset Management slipping in and out of second once again with BT pipping Robertsons boat at the finish. One more race to go.

Skipper Alister Richardson, winner of the Extreme 40 class at Skandia Cowes Week last year, was invited to compete in the Volkswagen Touareg King of Cowes event that saw many of last year's Skandia Cowes Week class winners reunited for a 'King of Cowes' race in the Laser SB3 class. And it proved to be a great race for Alister who won the race and the top prize of a Volkswagen Touareg. Well done, Alister!

While out training on Tuesday afternoon, Extreme 40s BT, at the time helmed by Darren Bundock and JPMorgan Asset Management helmed by Shirley Robertson locked horns following a bearaway, resulting in significant damage to BT's port hull leaving the catamaran needing desperate repairs. After hours of work and a day spent on dry land, BT will be back on the water this afternoon to squeeze in some extra training before the iShares Cup at Skandia Cowes Week kicks off at 1400 hours tomorrow (Friday 3 August).

Last minute changes for Holmatro (1,129 Days Ago)
While training on the Solent in preparation of the iShares Cup at Skandia Cowes Week crew member Sebbe Goddefroid has suffered a knee injury that has forced him to retire from racing. Team Holmatro will now be joined by Volvo Ocean Race Sailor Andy Meiklejohn.

Double Olympic gold medallist, Dame Shirley Robertson will join the Extreme 40 line-up at the iShares Cup and Skandia Cowes Week onboard JPMorgan Asset Management. Robertson will compete British America's Cup sailor David 'Freddy' Carr, kiwi Fraser Brown and British bowman Nick Hutton.

Kiwi team to command Volvo Ocean Race (1,144 Days Ago)
At the iShares Cup at Skandia Cowes Week, a team of Kiwi sailors will take the reigns of Extreme 40 Volvo Ocean Race. Aaron McIntosh, Mark Kennedy, Ryan Houston and Andrew McLean will become to latest sailors to challenge for the iShares Cup on the blue boat.

McIntosh explains, “We will be the Rookie Extreme 40 team and that’s fine by me. Our biggest challenge will be to step up to the level of the top teams with only two days of pre-event training. Basicalla have set the bar very high and we will be keeping a close eye on them. We have talent in our team, it's just a case of moulding it into a tight unit, to get the most out the Extreme 40. These boats require precise teamwork in tight situations. Thrills and spills sit close together in these boats that’s what is so exciting about the class.”
